Aevum Spa: A Fusion of Space and Emotion

Creating a Unique Experience for Physical and Mental Beauty

The facade of Aevum Spa is adorned with wooden veneers that extend into the service counter and entryway, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A glass wall acts as a visual partition, connecting the interior and exterior spaces. The annular entryway, paved with curved natural stones and filled with white gravel, serves as the junction of different functional areas, including spa rooms, consulting rooms, and a lounge.

The design team, led by Tony Kim, paid meticulous attention to detail. Customized furniture, fittings, and accessories with exquisite shapes and textures enhance the overall aesthetic. The walls are adorned with paintings depicting flowing seawater, complementing the wave-pattern carpet and blue gradient screen, adding an artistic charm to the space.

One of the design challenges was to ensure privacy while offering customers vast views of the surrounding seascape. To address this, rattan screens and greenery were strategically placed on the terrace, creating separate areas that both provide privacy and showcase the breathtaking views.

The integration of light and shadows, combined with the fragrance of incense and soothing music, enriches the sensory experience within the space. Large French windows allow natural daylight to flood the interior, creating a dynamic and expansive ambiance that refreshes the body and soul.

Located in Xiaojingwan, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, China, Aevum Spa was completed in September 2018. The project, awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019, showcases the successful fusion of design, functionality, and emotional experience. With its unique approach to spa design, Aevum Spa sets a new standard for the industry, illuminating future projects of the same kind.
